Industrial piercing?
I wanna get an industrial piercing (when there is a bar going through 2 holes in ur upper ear), but I heard it hurts like a mother. I think it looks really rad, but the pain worries me. I'd like to know how long it takes, and how bad it hurts and what u would make of someone wearing one, thanx!

it's not too bad. you know when they say breathe in when they stick the needle in...and breathe out when they take it out, yeah, listen to them. it's over before you know and then your ear is red and hurts like a ***** for about 2 weeks. and then it hurts to sleep on it....yeah, i'll admitt that part sucked.
look, piercings hurt. get over it! if you want it, go do it.

i have a love hate relationship with my industrial. If I knew then what I know now about my piercing I probably wouldn't have gotten it. It really takes a lot of care to have an industrial. You can't talk on the phone or sleep on that side for a year at least (until it completely heals). If it gets bumped it hurts. Bumping it in the first 2 weeks is very painful (as in pain and throbs for maybe 10+minutes). You will pretty much learn to put on your shirt a lot more carefully. You have to clean it at least twice a day for the first 3 months. Sea salt soaks for 10 min at a time. It's a lot of work. I love the way it looks and I'm proud of myself for going thru with getting the piercing and how I've cared for it but it's a lot of work. I have had mine for 10 months and it still gets crusties to clean every day. Just something to think about and ask yourself how badly you want it and will you take care of it to avoid infection.
As for getting the piercing. the pain varies by person but id say its a 2 sec. pinch. the second pierce hurts a bit more but again its just 2 sec. of pain. if you want to know how bad that hurts just take your nails and pinch your ear hard for a second. thats about what it feels like. not in any way unbearable.

Yes it does hurt but its worth it besides the worst pain only lasts like 2 seconds needle in and needle out. Then ull feel it throbbing for about a week then its all good.

my friend had it done and i went with her.
first they did one hole, and then left the needle in it, and then they waited about 5 more minutes to do the other one so it doesnt hurt as much.
she said the pain only lasted 2 seconds for each hole, and that it was worth it.
if i saw someone wearing one i would just think that they're cool. :]
