I've had my industrial pierced for almost five months. It's healing quite nicely. I never get it caught on anything surprisingly, and I can sleep on it comfortably. The only problem I have had is that I get this little bubble on the inside of the top hole, but I pop it and clean it, and it's fine. It doesn't ooze anything bad, only a clear liquid. The bottom hole doesn't hurt at all, the top does if you touch it.
So what I'm wondering is, is it safe to change it? Does the top hole take longer to heal than the bottom, because the bottom hasn't hurt for a month or longer?

I would say wait another month or so and wait for your top hole to catch up with the bottom hole in terms of healing. Keep cleaning and taking care of the top hole very well and clean it everyday until the bubble goes away, because that might be a sign of a small infection starting. But also take care of the bottom one too, of course. Just keep a careful and extra eye on the top hole for a bit longer, because changing now with the top still being a little painful will cause it to hurt more and might hinder the healing process. And the reason it's not healing as fast might be because of the possibility of the infection. I'm not sure if it is an infection though, but just in case, you know.
i wouldnt worry about it if the discharge is clear and if you were obviously comfortable to pop it. as long as your cleaning it twice a day (because of that bubble) i would say go for it.
