One is quad-core and the other is six-core.But my question is which would be a better option for gaming? Also which processor would be more futureproof?
It's a tough call. The Core i5 760's cores are each about 15% faster than the 1090T's, but six cores beats four. For pure gaming, the i5 760 will do slightly better in today's games, but the 1090T is more future-proof.
The i5. The Phenom II x6 is massive overkill for gaming. Few games even use four cores, much less six. As such, you'd be better off getting a high end Phenom II x4 instead, but the i5 edges those out in gaming by just a tad.
nicely , choose for Phenom X6 1090T do no longer choose for i7 870 , bcz that's comparable as i5 760 (perhaps diverse clock velocity) yet has HyperThreading , and HyperThreading isn't helpfull while it is composed of gaming , it's going to be solid basically u will think of of video encoding etc stuff six cores of X6 should not be utilized by ability of modern video games , as far as i understand Mafia II is the only interest to make use of 6 cores , yet after 2 years , this could exchange and u would be happy dat u went for quad middle even nonetheless , if u r thinking approximately overclocking , could be no longer now yet in destiny , then i'm going to advise getting i5-760 , that's gread overclocker , lot of folk hit 3.8 GHz on solid air coolers for image card , choose for as much as date HD 6870 enjoying cards , Sapphire , HIS favourite value is around 12-15k INR
The i5 and i3 are better for gaming and this is do the the embedded GPU, and later next year the i7's well have a GPU. Plus Intel is releasing 3 new GPU speeds 650MHz, 850MHz, and 1133MHz.
