I've had a digestive problem for about 3 months. My symptoms are diarrhea, constipation, stabbing stomach pains after meals, strain with bowel movements, feeling of not completing bowel movements, lightheadedness, belching, increased gas. When it first started the nausea was so bad that i couldn't eat solids often and lost 14 lbs in 3 weeks. When the nausea lessened my stomach began to feel pain after meals. My bowel movements switch between diarrhea and constipation. Very little comes out when I use the bathroom, about the size of half a fist. My heart is easily accelerated now from the smallest tasks like walking. Sometimes it feels like my breathing is the same as an obese person. The doctor gave me a generic of prilosec for the stomach pain so now it is just a gnawing pain. She also did an H. Pylori test and found no signs of it. Before this I ate 1 fast food meal a day and drank 2-3 cans of coca cola a day. My current weight is 116 lbs. It had dropped down to 106. My weight before this was 120. My height is 5'7 if helpful. My doctor treats a HUGE patient list and is very difficult to make appointments with so it ends up being 3-5 weeks before i can get into the office for the appointment, which is why I have come to Yahoo answers for any help i can recieve. Thanks for reading and for any input you can give.

see an hio method upper cervucal specific chiropractor. stay away from the medi-quack cover-up artists.
Get a good quality probiotic supplement at your local health food store. It should deliver at least 15 billion live cells per serving. Take it a half hour before meals. This will rebalance your good gut flora to keep you from yo-yoing between diarrhea and constipation. Don't take any OTC drugs for any of these problems or you'll just continue to mess up your system.
You need to focus on eating freshly prepared foods, lay off the junk food and stop drinking sodas of any kind, regular or diet. A junk food and coke diet will virtually kill anybody.
MD's get no training in nutrition or orthomolecular medicine. They just prescribe drugs to treat symptoms. You'd be better off see a natural health practitioner such as a professional Homeopath or Naturopath to get help with rebalancing your system. The probiotics are a very good start.
Be very wary of advice you get here, except that you should find another doctor who can see you right away.

EDIT: Like I said, be wary of advice you receive here. thenoseknows is a habitual liar ("doctors receive no nutrition training" is a bald faced lie) who only wants to promote her interest in the discredited placebo treatment, homeopathy. Mr E, who thinks the cause of all disease is subluxations in the spine, lies that neck crunching will solve your stomach problems. Ask them for evidence to support these claims and they never provide it. Alternative medicine has only placebos or treatments based in magical thinking to offer; you will only waste money and time and achieve nothing. You will get better naturally before alt med does anything to help.
re: probiotics - from Science Based Medicine:
"Probiotics are useful for the prevention of antibiotic associated diarrhea. Probiotics may be helpful in preventing other overgrowth syndromes or diseases associated, perhaps, with perturbations of the gut microbial flora such as IBS and colic.
If you are a normal human, with a normal diet, save your money. Probiotics have nothing to offer but an increased cost."
