The normal fasting range is 70-99 mg/dl although 70-110 mg/dl is considered normal as well. The normal postprandial ( two hours after a meal ) range is 70-140 mg/dl. It's diabetic if the fasting level is 126 mg/dl or higher and it's also diabetic if the postprandial level is 200 mg/dl or higher. Below 70 mg/dl is hypoglycemic but you can be as low as 60 mg/dl without harm.
Basically readings of 60, 61 or 62 mg/dl means you should eat something, you're probably just not getting enough food or at least not the right kinds of food. Many schools have started feeding the children because it's apparent that so many in the States are poorly fed, unfortunately the food they feed you at the schools are really bad for you as pointed out by Jamie Oliver.
As a child you probably qualify for State health coverage, it's usually called CHP for Child Health Plan or CHiP for Child Health Insurance Plan in most States, it's actually paid for by the federal government but the State gets to claim it a a service they provide, people like taking other people's credit in the States. You should contact your State Government Services office and get enrolled. Your parents probably aren't aware of the services available to them.
You can get glucose meters for free at the pharmacy but the best one to have if you are uninsured in the States is the Walmart Relion meter as it has the lowest priced test strip.

For a non-diabetic, a reading of around 60 mg/dL is low-normal. People without diabetes drop into the 60s all the time. If you're not hypoglycemic or a diabetic on insulin or medications that cause hypoglycemia, then you don't need to be worried about being that low because you're probably not in any danger of going lower. That level itself is perfectly safe; you might just feel a little hungry and tired and eating normally will bring you back up shortly.
Now, if you are diabetic on insulin or medications known for causing hypoglycemia, you should be concerned about levels below 70 mg/dL only because that could be an indication that you are headed much lower into a range that actually is dangerous.

I went into the doctor because they said I had a low blood sugar of 60. They said normal should be 70-120, but 60 isn't anything serious for a non-diabetic. They said I am still healthy. I think mine is low because I've warped my metabolism with my extreme workout ---> http://youtu.be/45hzWHxCMI8 hahahahaha don't try it until you know what I know. Unless you want to do it on a stationary bike and smoke some oregano.

RE:
Is 60/61/62 mg/dL a low blood sugar level?

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. For me, the worst part of this horrible disease is the severe pain I constantly get in my feet. The pain is so bad that I avoid standing and walking as much as possible. I've got to tell you that within the first month, my feet stopped hurting altogether and I can now walk totally pain free.
Believe it or not, I even danced at my niece's wedding last month, something I have not done in a many years. I've been following the book for six months now and my blood sugar is well within normal range. I feel great!
I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.
Life style is often part of the issue. Life style changes now could delay or prevent you from getting diabetes later. Learn here https://tr.im/x15TB
What you eat is not actually the cause of diabetes, but how you live can be. If you sit on the couch all day, your chances of developing diabetes goes up greatly.
Just do the best you can to not gain weight and to maintain an active life style and that will greatly help reduce some of your risks.
Put a two litre water bottle and a glass on your desk each morning. Get through it simply by lunch, and do the same inside afternoon. You’ll exercise better as well as recover faster if you’re hydrated. I drink some water each time someone asks me a absurd question or sends a ridiculous email... find something that works available for you!
