AntiVirus 2009 is possibly one of the worst forms of spyware out there now - and difficult to remove. Follow these instructions carefully:

1) If you don't have a good antivirus, download the following program:

Follow the registration process and update your definitions.

Next, download BOTH of the following:

2) Malware Bytes

3) SuperAntiSpyware

After downloading and installing all of them, run a FULL SCAN using each in SAFE MODE. Remove everything that they find. It would be best to run more than one scan of each.

Antivirus 2009 is a rogue/fake antivirus program. Basically, it's a virus that causes popups to occur regularly telling the user to buy antivirus 2009's full version, which is a boatload of crap. My laptop got infected once and boy did it suck.

it's malware and you already have something bad installed if you are getting those popups.
