Will the Libs start beating this horse again soon? I mean, Jobs, the Economy...these are important issues, right? Are Gun Control Proponents from the North East and California (where Anti-Gun laws have the most support) a liability for Dems in the Midwest, South, and South West, where Gun Control is a very touchy subject.

how could it not be....the right to bear arms is in the Constitution...what would be restricted next....free elections?
Any problem that can be solved by properly educating people is a political dead horse. Gun control is one of the easiest ones of all. I'm no conservative, but even I know that banning guns isn't the answer.
All of our "hot political issues" are really just dead horses. They get turned into zombies during election years for the media to beat up some more while almost no one is foolish enough to say "oh why don't we just try educating people to use guns properly?"
Short answer: yes.
To be honest, I dont think it is. They can probably think of a hundred different ways to make it expensive and a lot of paperwork to own a gun. RFID chips may be required in guns and bullets soon. I really think gun control isnt dead at all, which is a really sick thing.
They can pressure insurance companies to charge gun owners more. They may try to say that anyone convicted of any crime or with any psychological condition cannot own a gun.
Gun control seems to be as dead as the tens of thousands of Americans who are dying annually because we are too cowardly to stand up to a criminal gun lobby whose arguments make no sense. Gun owners are reducing your life expectancy by about five months.http://www.allbusiness.com/finance-insurance/insur...
The 2nd Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America is alive and prospering..
Effective gun control consists of:
1) site picture
2) cheek to stock weld
3) breathing control
4) trigger squeeze
It will be until (Heaven forbid) Obama wins a second term. Then it will come to the forefront. The Dems learned their lessons in that arena during Clinton's first term.
Its dead, everyone, including liberals has had guns for years. The only people still using this are the Republicans, hoping to have yet another point on which to scare their flock.
Happy shooting, and careful ducking.
We have the highest homicide rate of any civilized democracy and we have the most guns by a lot - almost 1 per capita. A correlation seems likely.
I totally agree, though. Attempting to save lives is ridiculous, especially if it gets in the way of hunting or occasional target practice. Guns have so, so much to offer...
As long as we have the Constitution. This issue is a dead horse.
Gun Control is dead. The NRA won't acknowledge its victory as it requires the funds to continue its operations.
