Is Los Angeles pretty racist?

I am 20 years old and I have lived in London my whole life. I am thinking of moving to LA in the next few years, just for a year or 2 for a change.

Also I am of indian decent ( not native american indian) and so I want to know how people feel towards indians in LA and if its a racist city or not?

You'll do fine in L.A., There is a big Indian/Pakistani community or suburb of Los Angeles called Artesia.

I live in L.A. until I was 13, and it's not that racist considering it's mostly Hispanics.

But you will once in a while get that ignorant white person.

And L.A. has a good percentage of Indians, they usually lives towards Riverside county though.

LA is decidely "less racist" than London... It has a visible mix of different kinds of people, so it wouldn't make social or economic sense to be so.

No, it's not very racist, but you just need to stay away from the seedy areas, which are mostly black and Hispanic.
