This is holiday season, so they might have a bit of a backlog/lots of packages to send out. Three days isn't much. Wait for maybe another two days before contacting them about it.

Don't worry it's now your child.. I hope, I've had tons of problems with that kind of thing, I always get my package. :)
It is rather busy this time of year. Depending on how far the package is going, it might take a couple days.
I haven't used the USPS tracking system much, but when I have, it never updates along the way. Just "your package is in the system", "it's left our facility", and "has been delivered". Don't expect lots of details like UPS.
