I believe it is on the same level as far as brain patterns go. What you're brain tells you is attractive s really beyond your control. The problem is that being gay is a peaceful choice, and in most cases both parties want to be doing what they are doing. In the case of a pedophile, It's not really their fault that their brain tells them that children are attractive, but they need to make the choice not to follow through with their desires. There actions are biased on a one sided decision between 2 people.

I'm straight, and if i find a girl attractive that doesn't mean i can force her to have sex with me because my brain tells me to. I know between wrong and right, and not to hurt others.

Humans have lots of strange desires, and the ones that don't bring harm to other people are the ones we can openly express.

If a pedophile decided to act on his desire, i personally believe that castration is the answer. Our sexual desires are baised on testosterone and other chemicals like that. If you cut off the nuts, the desire will diminish and they could possibly be let back into society..

If it was my child that got molested/raped, I would find the bastard that did it, lock them in my basement, and torture them beyond most peoples imagination. I would keep them alive and inflict so much pain that they would wish they would die. But, you see society cannot act with such rath, so castration might do the trick. :)

Pedophilia is a fetish. Any fetish is like a phobia, Skinarian type operant conditioning. Common traits among pedophiles are low sexual activity in adolescence and decreasing sexual activity in adulthood. The patient is displaying a link between first sexual encounter and sexuality in a generalized sense. Their schema for something sexy is something like when they touched a breast when they were 14. No sexual stimuli is administered after the event and so the patient remains with the schema that sexy is only in the 14 year old body.

object fetishes (feet or other "body" fetishes are considered partialisms) are links between the first sexual stimulation and the object. For example someone may masturbate in the bathroom while their moms panties are drying on the shower rack. The conditioning of panties and sexual stimuli takes place and a fetish is born. Pedophilia is developed the same way. The sexual stimuli is conditioned as a healthy adolescent but without a maturation of stimuli though continued sexual experiences through life the stimuli of the child is locked.

Homosexuality is in essence a female brain in a mans body. The latest data says homosexual men perform mental tasks in a way consistent with how heterosexual female subjects preform them. They are "wired" like a woman. If this continues to prove accurate then it would prove one is born gay and nothing can change it.

As for therapy for pedophiles in theory it can be cured in similar ways to a phobia. Fetishes and phobias are created the same way, a product of opertant conditioning. and so they can be cured in similar ways. However I don't know of anyone who is conducting therapy in that fashion as the data I mentioned is still very new.

It's like alcoholism - you can't change the desire, only MAYBE modify the behavior (IF you are lucky).

They should be punished based on what they have done only - not scapegoated for all of societies problems.

If you see the same sex as yours you will get a tension of wanting to have sex with them sometimes its hard to feel but its true

If you masterbate with one of your friends and watch porn with them you get a tension of wanting to touch them

homosexual people encourage other people to become homosexual. so it isnt normal it just like being brainwash from those who were born to be homosexual.
