In the stimulus package that indebted the US for trillions of dollars the man never read the bill before signing it.
In the Tarp bill that is now in congress he has not read the bill yet.
In the current health care bill it is obvious he has not read it and don't know all it entails.
Is our president basically like a figurehead like those businesses that wanted a government minority contract they would hire some black dufus as president of the company so it would appear that he was in charge of the company but really had no power. Isn't it negligence and incompetence to be signing documents without knowing what they say

I disagree that the president HAS to read the entire bill. But it was admitted that no congress person, or adviser did either. It was pieced together and went through really quick. You have to love his lines to push this thing through.....JOBS JOBS JOBS....that was what he said this was all about. He said unemployment wouldn't go over 8%...and then he said he misjudged how bad it was. Hehe, and people still have confidence in his decisions. Not to mention the nearly $6 million in the package going to process cheese. There was a ton of crap in this package that had nothing to do with jobs. And here is a little business lesson for you. Building a road isn't a job worth counting. It's not permanent. Construction lasts for months, maybe a year or so. That doesn't fix the economy.
So yes, he is an empty suit. And yes, I hope he FAILS. Because that's what must take place in order for this country to succeed.
Come on! He is less than that! He is a puppet! If he weren't, why does he read speeches written by other people, like Nancy Pelosi, who wrote the "stimulus" bill, and James Carville, who cannot speak, but can bully, and write ridiculous nonsense, off a teleprompter?

Yes and no.He is managing to get his agendas across but at the same time he is not for-filling his campaign promises of which there are many. One being that he stated he would represent all and he clearly is only representing his own party's policies...

honestly, I was a McCain supporter all the way,
but I do respect President Obama and his decisions.
I do believe he's trying,
but to be honest,
none of his plans seem to be working.
It hasn't been a full year yet,
so maybe he just needs some more time.
But if things don't change after 12 months,
I may have to change my thinking.

Never in the history of the United States has a president and his party worked so actively against the interests of his own people.

He doesn't read the bill, his assistant tells him what it does. Sometimes they lie to try to manipulate him into thinking it does something it doesn't. Politicians usually aren't smart and don't understand science or business. The reason they hold their current office is because they have superior people skills and campaining skills. Hope I helped.
