Israel are not terrorists as they do not engage in terror. Israel cares about protecting its civilians, Hamas cares about killing others. That is the difference.

Your premise is wrong. You think we consider "the lebanese and palestinians" to be terrorists; we do not. There are many very nice, pleasant, peaceful Lebanese and Palestinian people. There are, however, many Lebanese and Palestinian terrorists. It is as if to say, "some fish are sharks, and all sharks are fish, but not all fish are sharks."

The definition of a terrorist is a person who uses attacks on innocent civilians so as to instill terror into the populace. It does not matter what the stated goal of the terrorist is. If the terrorist wants to stop abortion, or to free his land from an invader, there is NO excuse for targeting civilians primarily. NOTE: it is justifiable to use violence (if necessary) to stop an armed aggressor in the process of violating the rights, property, or liberty of an innocent, including yourself.

Hamas, Hezbollah, and Al Aksa Martyrs Brigade (among others) are actively engaging in attacks where their primary targets are civilians. The unguided missiles lobbed from Lebanon and Gaza into Israel can come down ANYWHERE, and will probably come down in a civilian area because of the proportion between civilian vs. military land in Israel. Since those launching the missiles have no way of knowing where the missiles will fall, but openly aim them at cities, towns (including Jerusalem), farms and so on, then those launches are in fact terrorist attacks. This is why no nation complains when Israel kills Palestinians as they are setting up their missile launchers; the terrorist Palestinians are begging to be killed, and no civilized person cries over their mangled bodies. The Palestinians' own families even rejoice because their dead son/daughter earns them a fat stipend from the Gaza government that wants their citizens to attack Israeli civilians.

Two reasons. A) They cannot to see how the Zionists picked up after the Holocaust of WWII and turned a barren and abandoned land into a major economic and political power in the region and in the world while their countries have lagged around with listless economies.

B) They really do claim that the Zionists, many of whom are 'infidels' i.e. not religious Jews, make the land impure with secularism. It is a law of the Koran that the Muslim should respect the [religious] Jew and otherwise keep the Jew a pure person, but the terrorists are in fact taking a hard line attitude to 'clean' Israel from the impurity, rather than encourage Jews to become the pure nation of priests.

Because Israel destroyed Palestine and majority of its population. Now, and after all peaceful and diplomatic means failed to achieve justice for the displaced and affected Palestinians, they want to destroy Israel back. They resort to violence in response to decades of Israeli terrorism. The reason why you don't hear Israeli terrorism in the media is because that buzz word only applies to the actions of individuals or organizations, not states. That is why launching rockets at Israel by the displaced refugees is terrorism, while dropping chemical weapons at Gaza by a fully equipped army is an act of selfe defense!
