In certain jobs that only require a bachelors degree and lets say some amount of experience, can a masters degree or equivelant in that field substitute in most cases??
Any job is going to prefer that you have some experience whether you have a master's or not. In fact, many graduate schools prefer to accept students that have some job experience already.
I would say get as much experience as you can, if not through a full-time job, participate in internships in the summer.
It never hurts to try. However you should be warned that often times if an employer is looking to hire someone with a bachelor's degree, they may not higher someone with a Master's because that usually would demand a higher pay scale. Sometimes they are looking to be cheap. Perhaps you should apply elsewhere where your degree (with or without experience) would come in handy and give you a good salary.
