Wee secret. "Judeo-Christian" is a term Christians use when they want to pretend their ideas are more universal than they are. It doesn't make a lick of sense from a Jewish point of view.
And from a Jewish point of view....
Did you notice that Torah says Abraham came from Ur in Mesopotamia? Right there in our sacred literature is an acknowledgement of such origins. So of course we have versions of those stories in Torah. It's not like we dropped out of the sky one day.
And it's not like we're going to forget everything that came before Abraham.
First of all, why do you expect the earliest parts of the Old Testament to be its own thing? Doesn't it make sense that a general story of morality would catch on? If God exists and is an all-loving God, why should he give those who believe in Him a monopoly on truth? Now, I'm not saying any of this happened historically. These are primarily works of theology, and there are a wide range of opinions on the topic within Christianity. Bear in mind that the events of the first half of Genesis occurred long before there was a Hebrew people, before Abraham finally begat the long promised son and founded his family.
I believe that these religions actually pervert from the original and that the History isn't going back far enough. I have not read the story of Gilgamesh for a long time but I do remember it had some connection with nimrod wanting to kill God. Some kind of post flood story and the Babylonian culture that emerged afterwards that felt what God did was a bad thing. Something like that... but you will notice a lot of "trinity" themes in pagan religions. You know as a Christian we see that Satan is the bad guy and he has had first hand experience with God. He knows God as a tri-unity and perverts that with counterfeit religions. You can identify them as "works based" where man can essentially become a god. Whereas true Christianity says the work has already been done and that you actually rely on someone other than your "self" for salvation. If Satan is the father of all lies, then what better way to deceive nations than with a counterfeit trinity. That these "gods" would act very human in their lust and perversities but we'll add a thunder clap and some golden apples and it would appeal more to sinful man (Someone they can relate to I guess). Satan knows the game plan already that Jesus was going to provide a way of salvation for mankind. So satan goes out to deceive all nations to bring as many of us down with him as possible (this is a war for our souls) He is able to do this because we chose to believe his lie that we could become gods. Nimrod, samaramis, and tummuz (Babylon, the root of the counterfeit and the reference in the Book of Revelation). Osiris, isis, and horus (Egyptian) or The father, the son, and mary (Catholics). These are the counterfeits. Most of mankind has always wanted to become god (pharaoh, Caesar, Obama, whatever) and be in charge of their own destinies. It's rebellion. It's like teen angst against parents but a lot more emo and a lot more killing. As a note on the tower of babel: You know in the Bible it does not say that the tower of babel was built in Israel. The tower was built in Shinar by the tigers and Euphrates rivers... where the civilization of Babylon was located. In fact, the "tower of babel" was built as a result of the flood. Mankind was again rebelling against God by building a tower they thought would be tall enough in case of a second flood. "Seek and you shall find... knock and it shall be opened for you. In Jesus name. Amen."
The truth passes through the ages taking different forms and appearances, that is why there are similarities.
It doesn't. There is only one God.
I know the Tower of Babel was in Babylon; why is that a problem?
They lived long enough ago to corrupt the truth of what happened.
Don't antagonize them with this history stuff. They'll just deny that any of it exists.
BOOM!
