okay, so for cardio i usually do jump rope. I really like jump rope and t gives me a awesome workout that's cheap and fun. i have a problem though im moving out and the ciling in my apartment is to low to jump rope and its winter outside also i don't have money to work out at the gym.
another jump rope exercise I've have heard about is setting the rope on the floor in a straight line and constantly jumping over over it.
My question is that does this exercise give you the same benefits as jump roping?
or could i modify it to be as challenging as the jump rope?
Thanks
god bless

I use my invisible jumprope (I do the arm motions and keep the pace, but my ceiling is also low, so I don't use the actual rope).
The alternative that you described would give approximately the same benefits, but you have to keep speed with the pace you did before, and you're not using your arms, so that takes a little away...unless you also incorporate arm movement.
