My pup came in contact with another dog about 4 days ago that had kennel cough (they didn't know he had it at the time). If he caught it from him, how long until he starts coughing and stuff?
If/when she starts coughing phone your vet as many vets d not like you taking dogs to the surgery with other dogs waiting who are ill and vulnerable to catch it and will often tell you to come after surgery or will visit on their way home.
Incubation of Bordetella (Kennel Cough) is 5 - 10 days. It is similar to Whooping Cough in people - and is very uncomfortable! If you hear any coughing from your pup - give your vet a call, and let them know that she has been in contact with an infected dog.
How old is your pup? Has he had any vaccines yet because they do vaccinate for kennel cough...how protected he is will depend on his age. You will know the second it starts so just keep an eye on him and take him to the vet to get antibiotics immediatley if it starts.
On Sunday, you said you were seeing the vet on Monday, so why didn't you ask at that time? Certainly you had a kennel cough vaccine done, as well as other necessary vaccinations and bloodwork.

Now. Watch it closely. Starts coughing get to the vet. Kennel Cough will turn into pneumonia when left untreated. Pneumonia will kill a puppy.
