I just bought a car and the guy I bought it from has a kenwood radio in the car, the display is there and it shows all the radio chanels and when you are changing chanels, there is a beep sound so the speakers are working (I know this because I took it to a car radio place) but there is no sound coming from the radio, no music plays from the radio it's just silent. The radio was working just fine before I had to take the car for the starter to be fixed and when I got the car back, the radio was not working. When I asked the people who fixed the starter if they did anything to the radio, they said they don't deal with radios, I asked the guy I bought the car from and he said it has never happened to him, the radio is about 3 years old. Does anyone have an idea of what's going on? I might have to buy another radio but I really don't want to but at the same time, I need some music in the car!! Looking forward to your responses. Thank you.

check to see if any wires jiggled loose from the head unit...if you are getting no signal from the radio, but from the CD player yes, then make sure the radio antenna wire is properly connected to the head unit (some cars require a wiring adapter for the antenna to be fastened properly).
worst case scenario, your head unit has reached the end of its life and needs to be replaced.
Whenever they fixed your starter, they may have messed up with their wiring. Take your car to another radia/audio shop and see if they can find the mistake, but i am almost positive that it is just messed up wiring from your last visit to the shop.
