we are moving between the 10th and 15th and i suddenly realized we no longer have the instructions for my sons crib. i know if we try to put it together without instructions it will be a very long a tedious process.
my son is 7 months old and has been sleeping in his pack and play for the last couple months, which works just fine for him. his dad thinks we don't even need a crib. do you agree?
should i buy a new crib altogether?
Update:we got our crib off of craigslist and i'm really not sure who the manufacturer is.

I think at 7 months old it is pointless to buy a crib because it will not bee too much longer till he can be in a toddler bed.
If you feel you really must buy a new crib you can buy one that will convert in to a toddler bed.
But I think a pack and play is just fine.
Most children are in cribs for quite a long time, often up until 2 years or even longer. I don't think your son should sleep in a pack and play for all the time. For one thing, he is going to get larger, and also more mobile. In must a few months he is likely to be able to pull up on the sides, jump around, etc. Not only does a crib give more room, but I would be more comfortable that he wouldn't be able to get out of it.
check the crib all over for a manufacturer's name or model number. Most items have these stuck right on somewhere. Or even post a picture on here and see if anyone recognizes it!
I would also guess many cribs are pretty easy to put together (ours certainly was) - just pay attention when you take it apart!
Otherwise, yes, I would buy a new crib. I think you would be using it for some time to come, and the investment would be worth the peace of mind.
okay instructions are very important but if you son is 7 months old and likes his pack -n- play that is all well, my son never had a crib (it was not that I didn't want one or I thought they was unsafe,I could buy one for him and have no family) But I had a pack -n- play and he sleep in it or his car seat. he loved being in his car seat a lot of the nights. I would give the crib away to some one or a place that could use it.
Check the website for the manufacturer of the crib. I lost the instructions for ours. I was able to download them from the website.
