I remember the Pointer Sisters! Lol! I still have the image of them in my mind on Dick Clark's Rockin New Year's Eve. They had a #1 hit that year. I think it was 1983. I was with my immediate family at my Grandparent's house. The whole family was having a BIG party there. We are a pretty tight group of people. The family parties are the best!! So much fun! My Grandfather liked to play bartender......before he died. He made (by hand) this little Hawaiian Tiki Bar in the basement. I loved sitting at that bar while he was making drinks. I always got the Shirley Temple with extra cherries. He refinished the whole basement and turned it into a little Hawaiian paradise. I think that is where I get my initial love of Hawaii.
