So, today my laptop froze on me. it's been freezing about once a day now for about 2 months, tried formatting, everything..

I turned it off and then left, came back about an hour ago and turned it on, started loading windows, then all a sudden my screen got a bunch of lines going down it and it was froze.

Turned it off again, went to turn it on, lights came on, fan came on, nothing on the screen.

Turned itself off and tried to start again, same thing happened again.

So i tried a bunch of things and then finally took out one stick of ram, let one in, still didn't work, stuck one stick in the other slot... worked.

Laptop came on, screen came on, then turned off and back on....

Using it now with only 1gb of RAM.

Would anyone know what could of happened here?

i take it my one ram slot went, i dont know :/
