I'm having a yard sale and want to sell my empty beer keg. I live in Washington state and I'm of legal drinking age. I know I should make sure the person I'm selling it to should be 21 and older. But is it still legal?? Also, I live in a military base, does that change anything??

You cannot sell a keg that does not belong to you. The PX or local store probably only got a DEPOSIT for it, not actual payment to sell the keg. It's like milk crates: you get what's inside, but the crates still belong to the distributor.
Selling property that belongs to someone else is evidence of intent to convert its value to your own profit, i.e., theft.
What you PROBABLY want to do is take it back where you (or someone else) bought it and get the deposit back.
It is my understanding that the kegs are owned via the brewery and it is the responsibity of the distributor to control them on the brewerys behalf. The kegs will likely have the name of the brewery stamped within the steel or spray painted on the facet. I am guessing you can be serving alchol at this club. When the beer distributor drops off new kegs, give them the historic ones and you should receive the deposit again on them.
No, you can't sell empty containers of any sort. That's why Tupperware companies put all the tags and stuff inside their Tupperware. Also, the stuff inside it needs to be proportional to the size of the container. I would recommend putting a dead cat inside your keg, because those are easy to come and attract customers due to the smell. However, this may attract vultures as well, so be sure to cover the keg with some kind of non-nutonian fluid, suck as ketchup (vultures don't like non-nutonian fluids) Also, if you can't find a dead cat, there should be something else out there that is dead and can't serve a better purpose. Hope this helped!
If it belongs to you and it is empty you can sell to anyone.
If it belongs to you, I don't see why not. Just to be safe, ask your local JAG officer.
