Instead of raising the tax rate, how about we just close the loopholes and tax for every job outsourced.
Businesses who don't outsource get a small tax benefit. Is that a decent compromise?
Update:Krista-I never said anything about payroll tax. If they are lowered then that is fine, I have no problem with that. As a matter of fact that is probably a good thing.

Who said "liberals" opposed it?
DA
Its a start.
But for the record I do not want to raise taxes. I want to end the unpaid for tax credit for the top 1%.
That tax credit was given to them as an experiment the idea was that if they were able to keep more of their money they would then Create jobs and the money would "trickle down" to the rest of us. Our current economy proves that idea has failed. Our current lack of job and the number of jobs going over seas proves that theory did not work. These tax credits are unpaid for. Every cent they are credited back we go into debt one cent more. they did not up hold their end of the bargain it is time to end the tax credit program.
Some call that raising taxes ( the top 1% maybe) I call it cutting waste and spending by 48 million.
How about we place tariffs on exported jobs and production capacity?
The longer that stuff remains OUT of the country, it keeps getting slapped with more tariffs.
Why? Because EXPORTED production capacity is the economic equivalent of IMPORTED finished goods.
The tax loophole issue is its own problem. And should be done, JUST BECAUSE.
As far as I am concerned, you could place a 100% tariff on these things. As soon as you leave the country, YOU LOSE ITS FAVORABLE BUSINESS ATMOSPHERE. Because, duh, you aren't here anymore sh!tlicks! Furthermore, it is like you never were! It is not the responsibility of the United States to make sure you retain a favorable business atmosphere anywhere in the world you want to take it.
Since we aren't importing much production capacity ourselves, please don't tell me this would lead to some kind of protectionist war or that it would hurt us to do such a thing.
"how about we just close the loopholes and tax for every job outsourced"
Grover Norquist said doing that would be considered raising taxes. I'd support it but Republicans wouldnt
No, because you ALSO want huge spending cuts that will hurt the middle class and the poor. Your party also supports raising payroll taxes while we're still losing 70 billion per year in tax revenue. You can't honestly say you are against taxes and then demand that payroll taxes increase. You're against taxes for one group of people.....the very rich.....based on the false and failed notion that 'tax cuts create jobs'. If that were true, we'd have 8 years to have seen results of the Bush tax cuts.
Nope. No bipartisanship. Republicans are too delusional
reward big business for being responsible? I haven't killed anyone today, what do I get?
