I'm getting my immigrate visa (F4) in a year and it's been 10 years I've been waiting. To be prepared, I'd like to ask a question. Here are some qualities of me: I'm willing to graduate as an electrical engineering, I like to meet and socialize with nice peoples, I'm heterosexual and a guy, I'm still in high school, I got a lot of families in Los Angeles, etc. Well, I appreciate to peoples who answer. Thank you!

Both are great cities and both are expensive. Here are some points about both:
Los Angeles
1. Very spread out and it's normal to drive a good half hour to an hour for a work commute.
2. Not the best public transportation system... it's only decent if you leave near buses & trains.
3. Still have tons of smog and pollution problems.
4. Doesn't rain much and steady weather... but it can get very hot or very cold, because technically it's a desert and it's normal to get temperature extremes.
San Francisco
1. Not so spread out and better public transportation system than LA.
2. Pollution and smog less than LA, but definitely present.
3. Weather is much cooler than LA, rains more and they have less sunny days.
4. A lot more liberal and gay friendly than LA, but overall a very tolerant multi-cultured city.
In my opinion, SF tends to be a bit more expensive than LA, esp. when it comes to food and housing.
