i'm 18 years old, female, 5'2'', 150 pounds. i'd like to lose around 8-10 pounds by December 14 'cause i'm going on vacation. here's what i need to know:
*how many calories should i eat a day?
*how many calories should i burn a day?
*how much fiber/protein should i have a day?
*how much water do i need to drink?
*how many crunches should i do per day (probably won't do them all at once, i'll spread them out. probably in sets of 25 reps, so how many sets should i do?)
thanks!

The best way to lose weight is by consuming fewer calories than you expend or conversely, by expending more calories than you consume.
tips for loosing weight efficiently-
1. Drink water-Water is quite possibly the single most important catalyst in losing weight and keeping it off longer term.Drinking water ice cold burns about 62 calories a day. Your body has to work to raise that waters temperature to your body's temperature. This equals around 430 calories per week.
2. Eat regularly-This means eating 5 times a day and the most important meal is breakfast.Make sure you fuel your body first thing in the morning to avoid hunger pangs later in the day
3. Eat lots of fibre-Eating adequate fiber foods to help keep things moving through your bowel. And like water, fiber rich foods bulk you up and make you feel fuller for longer.
4. Consume more good fats-There are good fats and bad fats.Good fats provide you with essential fatty acids (linoleic and linolenic acids) needed for normal reproduction and growth, as well as for production of prostoglandin, a hormone like compound that regulates blood pressure, prevents blood clotting and lowers the risk of heart disease.
Only tips for you, you can try or not
I seriously doubt it will happen. You need to eat the same amount of calories a day (1000-1200) but eat foods full of protein like eggs and meats. Avoid breads and other cards such as rice. You should do many sit ups, squats, and other abdominal work outs.
I agree with Sarah - realistically it won't happen. You COULD go on an unhealthy crash diet but will wind up gaining al the weight back and usually then some.
Healthy amount of weight to lose (and KEEP it off) is about 2 pounds a week.
Should have started a couple of months ago......
