pleaseeee give me examples!
My teacher used a dartboard analogy.
Precise and accurate = Three darts directly on bullseye.
Accurate not precise = Three darts surrounding the bullseye, but none of the darts are very close to each other
Precise but not accurate = A group of three darts that is not close to the bullseye at all.
Neither precise nor accurate = three dates spread randomly around the dartboard.
Or, alternately:
Precise and accurate = A scale measures a 1kg block as 1 kg every time
Accurate not precise = A scale measures a 1 kg block as .97 kg, 1.3 kg, and 1 kg.
Precise not accurate = A scale measures a 1 kg block as .98 kg every time
Neither precise nor accurate = A scale measures a 1 kg block as .34 kg, 2.5 kg, and 10 kg.
