Well, with boxing day coming up, I might be getting a new computer or choose a laptop, so which one should I get?
First if your supporting the macbook please tell me the monitor size. (15 or 13)?
So yeah, I don't know whcih one to get, mainly based on the operating system.
I really want to test some games on my new machine or laptop so thats a big reason to include in your debate.
If you have a macbook or iMac please tell me your experience and how it is
thanks again, please include valid reasons.

Ok, if you want to play games, a Mac is not the way to go. Go with a PC, they're much better at that, and more compatible. The new windows 7 came out and it's much better than vista, so that shouldn't be an annoyance issue. Also, Mac books are way too expensive for what you get, so that's another reason not to get one for games.
As for laptop or desktop, I would say desktop because they're cheaper for what you can get, you can put more gaming computer hardware into them, and gaming laptops aren't great unless you spend a lot of money on them.
Basically, don't buy a MAC for gaming, not what they're for.
Imac Vs Laptop
Since you said you will mainly be using this "Macbook" for homework, program, surfing the web, and watching videos online. Also considering you will be bringing it around and you won't be playing games on your computer, I would suggest getting the Macbook Air because of its portability and fair performance. You would probably prefer bringing a 3 pound machine as opposed to a 5.6 pound laptop. It doesn't look like you need the performance to suffice your daily needs as a student. Especially with the fact you said that you will not be using it for gaming.
If you want to game on a Mac get the one with the best graphics card. Just remember not very many games are supported for Mac OS.
If it was me I'd get the 27" iMac.
