Macbook Pro or Macbook Air?
I am going out to purchase a new macbook to replace my white one, and since they no longer sell the white unibodies I am stuck choosing between an Air or a Pro.
I am very confused as to what the big difference is. I know the Air is slimmer but are there really any difference between the performance?
I am a photographer and work a lot with photoshop (have to get a new mac because mine wont support photoshop anymore), so I need something that will run multiple programs and photo software at the same time. I am also a student so I need the battery to last 3-5 hours for lectures.
Any suggestions would be great!

I would suggest macbook pro because it has better performance and has a good battery life. Other than the speed ther isn't much difference between macbook pro and air.

I recommend Macbook Pro. It has everything you need in your pc unlike air.Air is cheap but Macbook Pro definitely worth your money. There are good things about both machines in terms of specification. Both are known to have a faster processor,long lasting battery,higher resolution but Air lacks optical media i.e. no built in CD/DVD drive. Where as, Macbook Pro has awesome video quality,video editing and many other extra features. So, it would work best for your graphics work. No other machine can give you the ultra sophistication than a Macbook Pro.

The MacBook Pro is more performance oriented plus it has a Super Drive. If you want it to be quick and multitask easily, this is the one to get.
The MacBook Air offers about the same performance level as the old MacBook, but the low capacity SSD (especially if you have lots of photos, movies, and music) and lack of optical drive limit it. But its compactness and battery life are awesome.
Invest in the Macbook Pro. It is THE best laptop computer out there.
I wouldnt buyu a mac at all becuase of their many restrictions and unreasonable price. However between these the Pro is much faster stable and overall better go with it.
MacBook Pro preforms way way better.
