Just two days ago I noticed that the glass panel in front of the display of my 13" macbook pro had a medium sized crack in it, about left-center at the very top of the display and in the black border. It doesn't look like the actual display is damaged at all, however the crack is making me nervous. Since I first noticed it, it has grown a little bigger, and I want to know what to do about it. My computer is still performing fine, just very slightly less aesthetically pleasing (the cracks are thin, nearly invisible when looked at straight on), and I'm not sure if I should pay to replace it (and how much that would run me for), if I should do some sort of home remedy to keep the crack from getting bigger, or if I should just leave it as is and just be careful with it, as I have been doing for the last two days. As I said, it's fine now, no discoloration or fuzziness, but I just don't want water to get in there or something like that, or for it to be dropped and completely shattered.
Thanks in advance
Update:Update: The crack, in the last 20 minutes, (closed my computer after I asked the question, opened it just now) spread all the way across. Apple just lost a lot of respect.

I really don't want to tell you this but I have no choice. My friend had his macbook pro screen broken for his 15". He ended up paying $600. He said his crack (on his screen not his butt) was getting worse. It was in the middle. Sorry to hear but this is what mac users have to go through!
The good news is that find another shop where they can do screen replacements, you can pay almost $200. Or just Do it yourself, bit challenging but under $100 + time you can do it. Internet has lots of guides.
Good Luck!
EDIT: Don't close your laptop if your screen is developing any signs of cracks. That will only make it worse. Treat your macbook like as if it was a desktop, don't close the lid. Only close if you are carrying from point a to point b.
Knowing apple, it was probably designed to crack on its own, thus forcing you to pay inflated replacement fees.
On a more serious note, use warranty if available. If not, then you're probably just going to have to deal with it somehow.
You have to replace the screen
