If Windows still boots, your paper should be there somewhere. Also, if your computer starts up but leads to a message like "NTLDR missing or corrupt", your paper could still be on the hard drive; if you know how to remove the hard drive and you have a device that allows you to use it as an external drive on another computer (external case or USB to SATA/PATA cable), you can check for the file on another computer.
If the computer gives a SMART error message as it turns on, or gives an error message such as "Insert boot disk to continue" or "Boot volume missing or corrupt", it could be very possible that your hard drive was about to die anyway and it's unfortunate that switching your anti-virus software coincided with this event.
Something I'd HIGHLY recommend for the future - store important stuff for classes on at least one flash drive, if not two or three. Backups are very important.
Ok.
Go to start - programs - accessories - system tools - System restore. Pick a date before your AV install. This will set your computer back to a date before you installed your AV software. Your files should be unaffected.
If you need an AV software, get Malwarebytes. It's free and works great.
Good luck!
usually when you download freeware antivirus programs, there's always malicious links that look like they're the real download file but in reality are virus themselves. Unless you can get the program off and recover your files, you're pretty much screwed. its just a matter of carefully downloading files and knowing good from bad.
as for fixing it, try going to your windows search bar and typing "recovery" or "restore". you should come to a tool that lets you back up or restore your pc to a certain point. usually it creates a restore point automatically before installing any new program. Unless restore points are not set to automatically be created, then your pc is stuck in the state its in.
do no longer attempt changing the BIOS settings coz it is going to easily make it worst, plus even if if that's on 640x480 the colors of your exhibit are all easy... I propose no longer in real shades (256 shades mode) 2 issues you are able to desire to do. a million) outstanding click on the laptop click homes - settings- then there is this selection exhibit screen section drag it till it is going to 1024x768. or 2) re-deploy your video driving force
