i love playing emerald .but i never tried this befor but i saw my cousin's after learning hydro pump he doesn't evolve but trust its worth it to learn hydro pump.i hope i help but i'm not so sure about evolving

Mudkip is Ground and Water, which means Thunder will not hurt it. While treecko has better agility and Sp Att. It all depends on your playing style. I chose Torchic again, because the Speed it has along with power help out. Also, Mudkip would do better on the first Gym leader, so... I guess Mudkip would be the better choice...

yes he will evolve into swampert but is hydro pump the last thing he learns because if not dont let him evolve because swampert gets the same moves but takes a lot longer

yes it does, it will grow at level 42 and then level 43, but you will have to stop mudkip evolving but clicking b or putting an everstone on

Yeah, he can still evolve, but you must prevent him from evolving until then...

My personal favorite it Torchic, at level 42 it learns flamethrower... yaaaay flamethrower...
