And I don't know much about it, but we have sex pretty much 4-5 times a week
and She says she only takes birth control 3 weeks a month, and not on the week she has her period, so during that time we use spermacidal contraceptives,
But she was talking about taking it 4 times a month, even the week she's on her period so we don't have to use that contraceptive.
Would that be bad?
Is it a possible idea?
Would it be unhealthy?
Would the birth control still lower the chance of pregnancy?

If she takes her pills as directed, they will protect her through the entire month, so also during her stop week (meaning the week she takes no pills and has her period). So that means you don't need to use anything else. Not even during that week.
The pill, if taken regularly, is very reliable. It's 99,83% effective!
If she doesn't believe me, tell her to read the leaflet that comes with her pills.
It's a bad idea. Don't do it. If you want they have birth controls where you only get your period 4 times a year. My boyfriend and I like that one because you don't have to worry about your period.
Ok so she can take the pill as long as she wants to, even everyday of the month as long as she is under a doctors supervision. Now you guys need NOT to worry when she is not taking the pill (that last week) because she will NOT get pregnant. The pill causes her to have annovulatory cycles, meaning she doesnt ovulate. I do advice to wear a condom because if she is on her period it would be healthier for both of you, in terms of coming in contact with blood.
