Okay so I'm keeping my gmas 9 year old Chihuahua at my house until she settles into her new house, yesterday I found a lump a little smaller than a golf ball on her left side behind her back rib, I can't take her to the vet until Friday, will she need to be put down? I'm scared because she didn't have it a month ago. BTW she is spayed has all her shots and the Lump is firm, but not hard as a rock or anything.

It will be some kind of a tumor, but hopefully (and most likely) one of those benign fatty Lipomas that usually doesn't cause any trouble. Another possibility is a Hernia.
No need to put a dog down because of a lump unless the dog is in pain or distress that cannot be controlled. Some dogs live many years with lumps.
I'm sure they won't put her down for a lump, most can be treated (if necessary) with no problems. Think positive not negative! Is it in a spot where she received her vaccines. Sometimes they leave a lump. Since she is 9y it's quite possible she has a Lipoma (fatty tumor). This is usually benign, and nothing is done unless it is in a place that bothers her.
Try not to worry I know easier said than done until you see the vet on Friday. Good luck!
I am no vet but it could be a lump of grissle or fatty tissue, a growth that is not cancerous also but it could alo be a tumor of which it may be able to be opperated on and treated with drugs, Hope your gran has good insurance as it can be very costly. Good luck x
it incredibly is not okay to offer a canines an unmeasured dose of any drugs, no longer to point Asprin which could have some very uncomfortable section-outcomes. I propose which you tighten your budget much extra and take your canines to a qualified vet, or besides the undeniable fact that locate it a house that may supply the care it desires surprising.
Take her to the vet on friday and try to keep yourself relaxed. I know what it feels like when your dog
has a lump, it could be anything including CANCER. Hopefully your dog has a sist and nothing too serious. My dogs have had heaps of sists.
Hope i helped:)
I am a certified dog groomer and see lumps on older dogs all the time. Sounds like it is just a fatty deposit. Best to have it checked by a vet to be on the safe side.
Can you move this lump around? Most dogs as they age get fatty tumors and for the most part are completely harmless.
ask the vets!! hope shes ok xx
Tumor
