I recently got my industrial piercing. I got it on Friday June 8th and then Yesterday last night (Tuesday) I was going to bed and went to go clean it, when I noticed there was some dry blood on the piercing not too much but I still get worried. Is it normal to bleed like that? I think it's because earlier I was trying to put on a a pony tail and it tugged a little on my ear, but very slightly I also every once in a while accidentally touch up on it with a pillow and i imagine it slides a little over I don't know if they do that. Then I woke up today Wednesday morning and there was some more dry blood but it was less than the first time it bled on me from my pony tail. I'm just really nervous it will somewhat stretch the hole and make it wider. is that gonna happen? is it going to keep bleeding on and off? Don't get me wrong it's not the kid of bleeding that drips down my ear and is gross it like bleeds around the hole a little. i'm really scared and nervous something will go wrong. I'm only 15 and had to practically sell my soul to my mom to get her to let me get the piercing, it would suck if something went wrong and I'd feel like an idiot. ANYWAYS, as I was saying: Is it normal? Will I be okay? Your experience with it or another piercing alike? Why does bleeding happen?
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR HELPING ME! I reallllllly appreciate it...

it is normal
Yes, this is part of the healing process and is completely normal when the piercing gets bumped or irritated while you are sleeping. Try icing it before going to bed, and try to sleep on your opposite side. Occasional bleeding is normal for the first month or so intermittently. If you ever have any questions contact your piercer and they can help you. Continue with your aftercare, and rest assured that this is a fairly normal occurrence. 😊
Two holes were created through cartilage so yes, blood is normal. I would only be concerned about it if it was bleeding excessively. Dry blood is completely normal.
Make sure you're doing sea salt soaks twice a day for 5-10 minutes each soak with 1/4th of a teaspoon of non-iodized sea salt to 8oz of hot water to keep it clean.
