what is the answer to this?
Update:ok people, here is the another explaination of my math problem: (n/2)=n+1, the anwser is (-2). i wanted to see how many people would get it right. alot of you were on the right track, but you didn't finish it. ok, here is one that had me stumped: (x-2)=(1/2x)+5. i want to apologize for the mistake that i made on the first question, please excuse the error. will u try it again with the correct equation?

What's the question...?
If you mean solve for x:
n/2 = x + 1
x = n/2 - 1
n/2=x+1
2(n/2=2(x+1)
n=2x+2
n/2=x+1
n= 2(x+1)
n=2x+1
in terms of x it will be
2x= n-1
x= n-1/2
there is nothing more to do with no more givings
If you were to solve for x, the answer would be
n/2-1 =x
N
---- -1 = x
2
In terms of what?
