yes, everyones body with heal at different rate so its ok that its still a little sensative now, if its like that for a week or two i would visit the doctor though, keep cleaning it, if a piercing starts to reject it will continue to reject, im my experience the best metal to use is titanium because it contains very little if any nickel, if its not pierced with titanium i would buy a titanium bar and go back to the studio with it and see if they will change it for you, if not just leave it alone and keep cleaning it, until you can change it to titanium, Good Luck!!!
it is normal for it to be sore for a few days, just wash it with unscented antibacterial soap and then rotate it while washing it so it does not get stuck and just keep an eye on it if there is a lot of puss and redness for over a week go to the doctor

totally normal to feel pain for a few wks. then again if you irritate it during the several month healing process.
mine hurt for about 6 months on and off.

it normally does that when you first get it done.
when I first got mine done, It kinda swelled up.
Just put ice on it for awhile till it hurts to keep the ice on.
