While the weapons listed are capable of devastating wounds, being hit may not actually remove the entire head. Let me relate two incidents.
While in the Army I was working with the Criminal Investigation Division in Viet Nam. For gruesome death, military machinery and weapons rule. In this case, a young man committed suicide by putting an M-16 under jaw, set it for full auto, and thumbed the trigger. He got three rounds off. We found the body slumped over the table he was sitting at. The entire top half of the head, from the lower eye sockets up, was gone. The brain, intact, was lying on the table, in front of the remains of the head. The skull cap had been blown into three large pieces and were found about ten feet from the body. We never did find the eyes. What caused the extensive damage was the three bullets zipping through the brain and shattering the top of the skull, then the expanding gas from the rounds and traveling at the same velocity, did the rest, including pushing brain out like a cork.
The second incident was also a suicide. I was a civilian police officer at this time. Original call was a shot fired in an apartment. We got there, gained entrance and found the body on the floor, next to a 12 guage shotgun. The head was almost removed from the body, attached only by a strip of skin. Our victim had leaned over the shotgun, placing it under his jaw. The barrel was aimed so that the shot went through the upper neck and out the base of the skull. This was a 30 inch barreled shotgun. He had to use a 12 inch ruler to reach the trigger. The load was #6 shot, it went completely through the neck, but again it was the expanding gas from the round that blew out the throat and nearly took off the head.
So, a high velocity round, fired from a weapon pushed against the upper part of the throat, would seem to be your best bet for "blowing some ones head clean off".

if you wanted to blow someones head clean off you would want to use a .50 BMG or a 12 ga. shotgun with slugs
A Eight (8) Gauge Shotgun.*
12 gauge with 00 buckshot magnum shells will do it. Or a .50 BMG. But it will leave a nasty mess behind.
Try a 30/30 it kicks like a bhotch but its the rifle equivalent of the desert eagle great stopping power
i would say it depends on range. close up a 12 gauge. over a distance a .50 cal would be nice
Magnum
If you want guaranteed one-shot kills, go with at least a .300 Winchester Magnum rifle, or bigger.
12 gauge
10 gauge
.50 cal "pistol or rifle"
those are the only ones I can be positive to do the job you need
---Hope this helps----
