I have been playing the beta for the past two weekends and have had to turn graphics all the way down in order for the lag to even be bearable- too much lag due to server stress. Currently have a nvidia 8200m with 3gb ram and an amd dual-core- laptop.
I am looking into getting a new computer. I would like to be able to play swtor and definitely the new deus ex comfortably on a higher resolution (just got a 1920x1080 monitor for waste?).
I am looking at i5 processors with 6gb ram. What graphics card would I need for comfort? Is the 6670 good? http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817...obref=obins...
Was originally looking at 6570, but pcmag said 6670 for sure. Any other recommendations?
Update:http://www.pcmag.com/products/?query=geforce+550&a...
So far the 550 has gotten the best reviews for the bucks from my research. It's just going to cost a lot more than planned to buy one pre-installed on desktop... and I've never had one installed before. The costs don't look too bad for just the card- asus 550= $130, prob $200 by the time it's installed. $200 pre-installed for the 550 on hp + $30 for psu. I'm just going to have to save up some more money!
Thanks for the help!
Thanks everybody! Any more input appreciated!

im a person who goes with mobile nivida and desktop nivida graphics cards i have almost always had problems with ati/amd stuff
Nikhil is a moron. Seriously, the 6990 consumes the least power? The GTS 450 consumes the most? What the HELL are you smoking?
And Y!A broke the PCMag link, but yes, an i5 is fine. 6GB of RAM is fine. I'd recommend a bare minimum of a Radeon 6770 or an Nvidia GTX 550 Ti. Go for at least a Radeon 6870 or Nvidia GTX 560 if you can.
A Core i5 with 6GB of memory is good but the HD6670 is a fairly weak graphics card. You should try to get at least an HD6850 or a GTX550Ti, preferably an HD6970 or GTX560Ti or better. I'm referring to desktop computers here, with a laptop GPU it's usually only half as powerful as the desktop card with the same name/number.
@Nikhil K - The HD6990 is a power hungry monster of a dual GPU graphics card, it certainly isn't 'The least energy consuming' as you describe it. Neither is the GTS450M the most powerful.
The most powerful, but very energy consuming is Nvidia Geforce GTS 450m Optimus Technology.
The least energy consuming is AMD Radeon HD 6990 .
