If you've got no intentions on playing other games, I wouldn't cough up the money. Though what you could do is by the one of the games, and then search for another game you might like, that way you aren't spending 180$ on a handheld you probably won't play much of. And a game that's 39.99+ tax that's going to last you maybe a year at max.
The game is fun, not perfect but worth a few months of playing. But never buy a system for one title.
If it is just for Pokemon X/Y I would suggest maybe buying the 2DS? :/ I mean, Pokemon X/Y doesn't even have many 3D scenes that are worth using a 3DS for. (The final scene is awesome and maybe the E4) Also, as The Powerful said, look for other games you might be interested in. Just browse through Gamestop's site to see the 3DS games out there. (Use Gamestop as a reference to games. You can use Amazon or any other site you wish)
