How come on Y!A, every time someone says something that makes Obama look bad, the Obama supporters call them racist? I've seen things were people say things that makes Obama look bad, and they get comments from Obama supporters that say: "You just can't sand it that there's a black man in the white house!" or "You are just so racist!"
It's not only the comments calling us racist, it's people saying, "Every time you conservatives get kicked out of the white house you start whining and complaining!" All right, first off, If McCain had WON, you Obama supporters wouldn't be able to shut up about it! You guys also can't stop whining over Bush.
Have you ever thought that maybe we have a right to be upset that an extremely liberal man is running the country? Do you expect us conservatives to be okay with that? Stop accusing us of being racist, we have the right to not agree with Obama.

I actually have a lot of liberal friends who would disagree with the name calling and such. But in the market place of ideas they do not always 'win' the debate. So the far left is either afraid or already brain washed.
What happens when they can not debate or discuss and win they will demonize and vilify their opposition. True republicans have done this too, but I see it all to often from the left in order to avoid debate and dialogue. Fear basically.
If they can convince people that the right wing is nothing but racist, sexist, rich white people, then they succeed in not having to debate and dialogue.
That claim that "every time" this and that is just an exaggeration and if something racist comes out of your mouth, racist is what you will be called rather you like it or not.
г๏๓คгє is exactly right. this is what I just can't get my head wrapped around. If it's not racism, then why is he being treated so much differently than all the other Presidents, why do Republicans simply insist on being so dishonest about every little thing concerning this man. why do you suddenly rail against things that almost every American called for 2 years ago.
Playing the race card they hope will draw attention away from the fact that this administration is taking us down a very bad road. By the way, this administration also has white people in it, so does not agreeing with them make me racist against whites as well?
Amen, Sister! I will take it a step further, though and say he isn't just extremely liberal but he seems very communist as well. It doesn't seem to matter whatsoever what people say about what he does; he just does it anyway. We are in danger having a communist man in power plotting his own special kind of "change" in our once strong, beautiful country. I have been called racist because I don't believe it is our place to insure illegals. I don't want to pay for other peoples' health care let alone do I want to pay for a bunch of illegals. So, I too am racist. I guess the libs are redefining the word.
Democrats and liberal pressure groups have long known that the fastest way to get opposition to fold is to call him or her a racist. It's an amazing kind of kryptonite that turns spines into jelly. This kind of dynamic has poisoned the political conversation in America for decades. o_O
The only major 'racist' thing I've seen lately is the statistic from the secret service stating that death threats are up 400% since Obama took over.
Those threats have little do with political policy and everything to do with pure, unmitigated hate.
There are actually some racists on here, right? And perhaps sometimes people get it wrong about who is racist, but many times they are right. If you had experienced racism against you, you would find it's not that hard to spot.
I do believe that many racists do not realize that's what they are feeling. They truly believe they are upset about Obama's birth certificate or "death panels" in the health care bill. But let me tell you that I have worked on many, many political campaigns in my life, some very hard-fought, and I have never seen this type of vitriol and anger and hatred directed at a president this early in his administration.
Do you ever wonder why no one ever worried about a flag pin, a guy's minister, his birth certificate or his religion before in our country's history? Do you? Because a lot of people look at that type of stuff and think it's racism, and they could be right. Or it could just be politics--a concerted effort to discredit Obama and diminish his presidency.
Having said that, there is nothing whatsoever wrong with disagreeing with his policies. If you posted "I don't like this health reform bill because..." no one would call you racist. How could they? But I have seen posts like "Michelle Obama is a gorilla," "Should we rename the White House to the Black House," and much, much worse, including "Does Michelle defecate on her pizza and then eat it?" and "There should not be a n*i*g*g*e*r in our White House." What do you make of those posts? Do you denounce them, disagree with them or ever let the poster know they are unacceptable? Because we don't see any regular conservatives denouncing this type of crap either, which makes it seem like you think it is OK.
I don't agree with what you say about McCain. No one started criticizing Bush until he actually did things we disagreed with, like invading Iraq. In fact, after 9/11 the entire country was behind him. If McCain didn't do anything I disagreed with, I wouldn't have a word to say. I never did with Daddy Bush, for one example.
I do not think you "have a right to be upset that an extremely liberal man (which he isn't, by the way) is running the country." You know why? We had an election, and your guy lost. Just like many of us had to suffer through eight years of Bush, now you get to suffer through Obama. But you don't have to come on this site and elsewhere and type every imaginable criticism of him hundreds of times a day. He wore the wrong jeans, he took his wife on a date night, who paid for his state trip to Russia, he uses a teleprompter, why does he have special pizza...blah blah blah. It's as if no one ever paid attention to ANY president before this, because of course we all could have found the same type of issues about any of them. Did you EVER hear anyone care about Laura Bush's looks, what Bush ate, who paid for their trips to Crawford, where the two of them went, what Bush wore? I never did.
So disagree with his policies all you want. But when you treat this president in an entirely different way than any other president has ever been treated, don't be surprised if some of us notice that the main difference between Obama and all the other presidents is his skin color.

I'd be curious to know what you make of this question:

Yes it is very childish. But the dems certainly don't have a monopoly on it. Remember how anyone who protested the Iraq war was un-American? Same childish garbage - the really sad thing is that it works on so many otherwise good people.
According to the logic of silly Liberals, whoever NOT voted for McCain and Palin made them a Sexists and a Seniorist.
That's their fallback position, their default status. If they can't come up with a cogent argument to explain any type of behavior, they start slinging the word, "racist" around.
