There were pop-ups, error messages, crashes going on my computer. Then when I restarted the system and pressed F10 (for the HP System Recovery) but it showed a blue screen that said this:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"The Windows Logon System has terminated due to error
(0x000000f) (f0x0000000) System has been shut down"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I also tried using System Restore (before restarting the PC) but it said that was terminated by "group policy". My parents yelled at me because of the PC's malfunction, but I told them it was because the fans were not cleaned out, and that the tower was too old, but they didn't listen.
P.S. I have a HP Pavilion, model 772n. We had this tower for 5 years, so the fans weren't cleaned during that time. Were getting a new tower soon, after a couple of days. But I need to fix this PC NOW. Please help me!

first clean the system out.
then get a windows boot disk and do a clean install - that is what recovery will do if u can get to it.
That actually sounds like a virus. Dirty fans would cause the computer not to power on at all. You have no choice but to reinstall windows.
