Ok people i have a little issue and i need some sincere advice...so i am 12 weeks pregnant and went for interview to do dental assisting the interview went great and i actually got a call back the next day to meet the dr. however i am pregnant and i am a liitle worried that it may be hazardous to my baby's health because of the x-rays i'm wondering should i tell them i'm pregnant and see what they say because i know im qualified for the position and they are actually going to pay for me to go to school to get certified and i don't want to pass up the opportunity so should i tell them or should i just let them find out on there own because i know that it is unlawful to disqualify someone due to pregnancy but i know from expeirience that they can get around it by blaming it on your qualifications...Should i tel them or is it any of there business????

You need to consider these hazards first. Do you really want to put your baby at risk??? You could always do it after right?
Consider this first, then decide whether or not to tell them.
ask your doctor first ... dont tell them anything because as you say they will find something wrong with your resume or whatever just to not give you the job and for them not to be in trouble for discrimination,...
My last employer just said "We came to the conclution its not working out" 3 months after my 6 month probation ... he found out I was pregnant by someone else in the company and of course I couldnt prove I was being fired because of my growing belly!
Its only going to get harder to find a job as you get bigger ... so dont even touch the subject with them ... ask your doctor about the health risk ...once you get the job and you sign everything then you can let them know .."oooops Im pregnant" ~
ohh and plus if you tell them they could use your baby's health as an excuss ... but if your doctor OBGYN says your fine or gives your special instructions on how to be safe then you can tell your employer and if they bring up that BS about how much they care for your baby and thats why you wont get the job you can tell them you have already talked to your doctor ...
If you can get a slip from him aknowledging youd be safe to work there ...
Tell Them!!! Yes it is their business and your responsibility to tell an employer that you are pregnant. What if something happens on the job. You are 12 weeks and have made it through the 1st trimester. Even with the protective vests that you wear during the X-ray I would be worried about the constant exposure. I say you should tell them.
what is more important to you? a job or your child? they cannot discriminate against you because you are pregnant, but i know your right, they could blame it on something else.
u will probably not have to use the xray machines until after you are hired, so wait until they hire you and then tell them. then if you lose your job, you would probably win a lawsuit.
i would tell them after you start the job, they can get around things and not give you the position. good luck
particular, i could say u r pregant, congrats! bypass see a Dr so he can get you all started on prenatal supplements and while you're nevertheless uncertain have him do a blood try on you! Congrats lower back!
