My daughter just started grade 1 today so she needs to take a lunch to school every day.
With so many things not allowed in Ontario schools - no peanut butter, no almond butter, no granola bars (with nuts), and with me being a "healthy food" nut - no chips, no pop, no juice, no flavoured water, no sweetened fruit things, I don't have many ideas for what to send with her!
So please share your sandwich/main ideas, as well as your snacks/sides.
Oh, and she's not a picky eater, but she is only 6 years old, so nothing too crazy.
Thanks!

I bought a thermos and she likes to bring soups (like minestrone) for lunch. she says half the school has the same thermos idea and they all bring soup.
For snack I prefer fruits and vegetables. I sometimes bake her some bread sticks or cheese crackers on the side.

Teach your kids at home. And bottled water is good. With few drinking options in Ontario because of pollution, I suggest it.
