OOpppsss....I made a boo boo....I accidently, Kinda sorta.......had sex after....???? PLEASE READ?

Lol Ok I am just kidding, but okay, I had a D&D 4 days ago. (Baby died at 7 weeks).

Doc said to refrain from sex for a week. We had sex 3 days after D&C.

Honestly, what "infections" can I get? I am taking all of my antibiotics. I did NOT bleed after D&C at all so is it possible I could get pregnant again SOOOO soon????

Can you ovulate before getting your period? Also, my HCG levels are not back at 0 so I cannot get pregnant right?

I FEEL ready, I mean, since the D&C I have had NO pain or blood/spotting at all! So I am thinking I am healed already ?!? I sure feel like my pre pregnant self again, completely! Pysically atleast.

Your cervix is still dilated after a D&C, which allows more bacteria, etc into the uterus than normal, which leads to the infection risk. If you and your partner are clean and STD free, the risk is only slightly higher than normal, but it's good to continue taking the antibiotics to be on the safe side.

You CAN and DO ovulate before getting your period. The period comes about 2 weeks after you ovulate, and the tricky thing is that after a miscarriage, but before your next cycle, there is no way of knowing when you will ovulate. Elevated HCG levels make it less likely that you'll ovulate, but it is not impossible.

I have known women who have gotten pregnant after a D&C, but before their next cycle. It makes it harder for them to exactly date a pregnancy, but many of them went on to have healthy babies. I'd recommend you use protection for a cycle or two to give your mind and body a chance to heal, but only you can decide when you're ready.
