On preferring to be alone: I have often had the same sentiment. Considering the fact that loneliness is typically taken to mean physical isolation, it struck me as an irony that, in the presence of people, I felt my desire to connect, and my inability to do so, more keenly and painfully. So, I like your insight on mental isolation, (if indeed you are meaning it in the same way as I) but I see it as being more sociological than philosophical.

On feeling nothingness: First of all, one cannot feel nothingness; one cannot be nothing. To me, your statement boils down to choosing to continue being vs. choosing to end it, so personally, I expect such feelings to be temporary, therefore, I choose to endure emptiness. Refer to your previous quote.

On Western society and contradiction: Contradiction may be perceived anywhere, and is perceived everywhere. That's unsurprising, considering the mind, which is itself possessed of conflicting desires, and adapted to identifying conflict, and resolving it, so as to make sense of things. It would be more meaningful, philosophically, and all around, if you narrowed it down, identifying the condradictions and parallels to which you refer.

On happiness, anger, sadness, and contentedness: Disagree, agree...but, agree, and disagree. I think happiness is as much for the aware. Abuse is indeed good cause for anger, and not the only good cause for it, but anger alone is useless. Contentedness, in some measure, in relation to some aspect of their situation, is a must for everyone. To be forever discontent with all things would drive me nuts. However, I take your point; one should not be content with the many things that should be improved.

On all geniuses: your statement is meaningless to me. Perhaps if you explain. Dunces also have death in common with geniuses.

On your wishes concerning stupidity: I think ignorance is only bliss if it is complete. Again, I'd choose to hang in there, and suffer temporary pangs for the sake of better things, namely, the benefits of being only incompletely stupid.

On your wishes concerning happiness: At any moment in which you are the least bit happy, you forget depression momentarily, and your wish is granted. Therefore, pursue happiness. It seems to me that this quote of yours is along the lines of your "being content", "ignorant", and "nothingness" quotes. I think they may indicate an inner conflict within you regarding your desire to strive for improvement vs. your urge to resign yourself to oblivion.

If you ask me in all honestly, they seem a bit shallow. They do not seem to have any sort of motivation or passion, especially nothing original.
