If he's only a "bit overweight," then he can probably go on most rides. Some rides are more accommodating than others, so there will probably be some he can ride with no problem and others maybe he can't ride at all. There are some other things to see and do - there are some shows, there are sets to look at, there are shops and restaurants, there are characters you can meet, etc.

i think they should have other stuff besides rides like games or whatever, he might still be able to go on some rides too
