First of all, for a line to be parallel to another line it has to have the same slope. So the slope (the number before the x) has to be 5. The origin is 0,0 so the y intercept (the place where the line intersects the y-axis) has to be 0.

So the equation would be "y=5x" because when the y intercept is zero, you do not write a y intercept.

Consult an administrator about tutoring....

I would use graph paper and create an x and y axis.....and then what I would do after that could get complicated to type.
