Paranormal activities while sleeping?

This is gonna sound stupid but I always see in movies that while people are sleeping spirits raise them into the air and stuff. Last night when I fell asleep last night I felt my hand and arm being raised into the air like by my wrist, and I woke up and it dropped. Could something be messing with me.. I can't think of any other reason that'd happen

There are a variety of things we can encounter while in the sleep state such as night terrors, nightmares and sleep paralysis. Though we can have a very real sensation that we are experiencing something, it could have an explanation that is not connected to the paranormal realm. Sleep paralysis is one of the more common of these odd sleep encounters and it can be mistaken for a variety of things including alien abduction and demonic visitations but it is more or less a waking, nightmare like, hallucination which for the one who encounters it, seems quite real. You can have the sensation that there is a presence amongst you, that you are being visited by something quite otherworldly , have the sensation that you may be floating and as well the sensation of being paralyzed. This can be quite an horrific experience for some and I have even had it several times and cannot ever get used to it. I do however, believe that out of body experiences as well as astral projection is something that can also occur and it is believed that sleep paralysis can be a gateway for leaving your body and having such an encounter but this can be something that can require a bit more research and practice.
