I have been told by people who believe in spirits, that spirits have the power to strongly affect electronic devices: telephones, radios, doorbells, televisions (see the movie "Poltergeist"), etc. According to them, spirits use electronic devices as an avenue to communicating with this world.

Years ago, while traveling out of the country, I brought a portable CD player with speakers. Late at night in the hotel room, I notice that the red lights on my speaker were lit (indicating that my speakers were on and playing music). But no music was playing. When I took a closer look, the CD player was unplugged. I described the incident to the hotel staff the next morning, and they immediately gave me a new room. I still don't know what happened, but I have not ruled out that I had a visitor that evening.

I say yes. A couple of months ago I fell asleep on my couch with the t.v. on. I remember that Seinfeld was on when I dozed off. I woke up a couple of hours later and the television was off. No one else was in the house and the remote was not within arms length. Also, I don't have any kind of "time set" on my television that would make it turn itself off.

Activities such as this aren't always attributed to ghosts. It has been said that these events can sometimes be caused by the one who experiences them. So it can actually be yourself , if yo can believe that. Humans have powerful minds. I read that, there are some events where children are in rooms with objects flying around and it is believed that it is they who move these objects and not "ghosts", it usually happens with children going through puberty, when everything is unstable for them.
