I have had one and it was in Gettysburg Pennsylvania. I was ten-years-old when I first went and I had things happen. But my favorite experiences are when I alone, or me and somebody else experience something and only us.
Just last August it was hot and stuffy in the Farnsworth House and we were walking up the stairs, I heard a little girl either laughing or crying. I was surprised that I didn't say anything because I usually am not quiet about things like that. Later a woman came up to me asking if I had heard it. I said yes and then later found out that we were the only ones to hear it. Some would call me sensitive.
Another time I was out on Gettysburg Area Middle School property, there is a big grassy field in the back of it that is supposedly the most haunted part of Gettysburg. I choose to believe this because I have had so much happen to me back there. Back to my point, I was in a tour group at night and I think it was around eleven. The tour guide was telling us stories and then I heard musket fire.
Okay, believe what you wish but the military park was just behind the tour guide and not only is it illegal to be in the park past ten but there is a 2,000 dollar fine and a guaranteed night in jail if they catch you. If they heard musket fire they would probably shoot you on site!
I shushed the crowd and told them to listen. Then there was another shot that they heard. And if that wasn't cool enough we say a glowing blue campfire! On park property, then we saw someone walking in the woods with a lantern, we dismissed that to a real person but the blue campfire was again at stretch.
EDIT: Sorry for all of the errors, when I answer these questions I get so caught up writing I don't revise!
i have had a ufo experience and many paranormal experiences as i have lived in a haunted house since 1966. i've been touched, heard all kinds of sounds except voices, had things be moved and then put back. i can talk alone with a OUIJA board and it talks back, but flies off the board if i ask a sensitive question, like what is its name.
when i saw the ufo i was with 2 other people, so i have back up. i was in the deep country where there are no airplanes ever, or any traffic, but lots of woods. an object that was all light and cigar shaped came floating into view just over the tree tops level of sight into the field where we were. there was no sound at all and we were about a football field away from it. it went right to left just hovering up and and down a little. we got scared cause there was a full moon behind us casting extremely long shadows. just then the object started floating towards us. afraid we would be seen we ducked down behind a big rock. after we did that the object returned to its original position still going right to left in the field. when it got to the tree line again it suddenly went straight up at such a speed that it in a couple of seconds was out of sight! there was never any sound at all and we were very close enough to hear any kind of engine.
could tell lots of paranormal stories, email me if you're that interested.
I have had several, mostly involving ghosts. Here is one I had last summer visiting my parents' graves. I wrote about it in my blog and copied and pasted it below.
Cheers!
Blog entry 7/11/2008:
I went to visit my parents down at Fort Logan National Cemetery yesterday in the 100 degree heat armed with only bottled water and flowers. I was so set on my trip that I forgot to eat breakfast or lunch, dressed in a skimpy outfit, put my red hair in a pony tail, and forget the sunscreen and hat which would have protected my skin from burning.
I was just asking for trouble!
Thinking that I'd save gas, I parked my behemoth of a vehicle on the other side of the gardens believing that I could hike all the way to my parents' resting spot.
At first, it was peaceful. I reverently walked by the headstones revealing the names of so many soldiers who left this existence way too early. It made me think hard about those serving in Iraq and Afghanistan and the loved ones they've left behind. I pray that it stops soon.
Graveyards make me pray compulsively.
Then I became thirsty. But, no, I refused to drink the water that I brought for the flowers.
Can anyone say dummy?
Then, I became dizzy. But, no, I'm headstrong and decided to press forward.
Then, I became delusional.
I saw a mist and heard an internal voice ask, "who are you here to see?"
"My dad."
"I've volunteered here a long time. I'll take you to your dad. What's his name, dear?" came the reply from my imagination.
"Robert Berry."
"Oh, he's right over here. I'll show you."
I found myself following the mist right to a grave marked Robert Barry.
That wasn't my dad.

It must have been heat-stroke. I'm still spooked about it.
I visited last year a castle on the border of Scotland and England. My dad, sister and myself were stopping there for a break as we were making our way to York for the holidays we had been driving for some time so it was nice to stretch our legs. Anyway my dad took a picture of me standing in front of one of the windows in the castle and later when we looked at it clear as day was a red cap fairy above the window. I looked into red cap fairies and they only stay in castles with a bloody and gruesome past that are on the borders and they are called red cap fairies because they dip they hats in blood to stay alive they die when they run out of blood. Not sure if I am saying this clear enough but it really did happen and I truly believe now that faeries exist in some kind of other dimension. I found it really cool!
i admit there was a very small and unbelieveable event that happened to me when i was 10. i was sleeping, and i woke up in a cold sweat randomly at night, near 1:00 - 2:00. i layed there for a while and i noticed 3 white-ish figures appear near the cieling opposite me and float around till i eventually put my face in my pillow from fear. i disclozed it as fear making me see things, but its still interesting.
but, i do plan to search for many paranormal events throughout haunted places with 2 of my friends, all around the U.S. and possibly further. im sure if i DID find anything big, id share it with people. other then that, its just for us 3 to know.
yes..when i was 10 years old.We were playing hide and seek that night(the whole city was black because of electricity problems except the street lights).I decided to hide behind a bark an old cut tree.Time had passed but none came.
The bark of the tree was along the road.Seeing no one I decided to move out of hiding place. As I did so,I suddenly toppled over something.Looking back at the source of my fall,I saw nothing except grass.I still remember it was something hard that I toppled over.I couldn't find anything like concrete or a brick over there
I was scared and ran away.Later mom told me that the neighbourhood we live in used to be a gigantic post office probably from the british colonial times. Our houses were made as apartments after clearing that thing out. There had been reports of bloodshed in the area.
I have had a lot of paranormal experiences with the spirit world but too many to type on here. (you probably wouldn't read it all anyway lol). Everyone has the ability to see, it's just that most people choose not to look.
