laptop. portability is awesome. desktops are usually slower (painful). laptops take up less room and can be tucked away when trying to straighten up. easier to get fixed too if needed, you can take it in instead of calling someone to come fix it.
I love the PC. I know you can buy a different mouse for a laptop but I just hate the "mouse pad"...cause ain't that where the meeses live...lol. I also like the perceived durablity of the PC over a laptop. Also if I get really angry and want to throw the PC its alot heavier then the laptop is...which would make the laptop a high flying, dangerous and very expensive missle.
It all depends on what you want to use it for. If you want cutting - edge graphics I'd choose a desktop (PC), but if you want it for portability, get a Laptop. Another great thing about Laptops is that if you want to show your friend some thing on it, you can just take it round to their house. Where as with a Desktop (PC) you can't. Or should I say you can but with a great level of time consumption.
While laptops may be portable, actually using one on your lap isn't a good idea. so let me see ... the bulky and space eating desktop or the sleekness of a lappy? I'd settle for a PC any day.. they're easier to take apart.
